1. WHERE CAN YOU USE OUR WATERCRAFT?
So many options ...
- Inside the Park: Lake McDonald, St. Mary's Lake, Many Glacier, Two Medicine, Bowman Lake, Kintla Lake, Middle and North Fork of the Flathead River
- Outside the Park: Hungry Horse Reservoir, Flathead River, Flathead Lake, Swan Lake, Whitefish Lake, etc.
Before launching inside the Park, boats need to be inspected at the watercraft inspection stations. For more information about boating in the Park and restrictions, visit the
GLACIER NATIONAL PARK BOATING PAGE.
2. HOW CAN YOU TRANSPORT THE BOATS?
Our boats are inflatable and come deflated in bags so they can be transported anywhere in your car. You can fit up to 2 single or double kayaks or one 6 person raft in the trunk of a medium size sedan. Trucks and SUVs will fit more boats.
3. RAFTING INFORMATION
We cannot offer shuttle service for rafts at this time.
We have 6 person and 8 person rafts (8 person rafts are heavier and require 2 people to handle). All accessories needed for a float will be provided and included in the rental: pumps, paddles, life jackets and helmets. It takes about 10-15 minutes to inflate a raft with the electric pump (which you can hook up to your car battery) and about the same time to deflate. The most popular float for all skill levels is between West Glacier and Blankenship Bridge on the middle fork of the Flathead River. It is beautiful and takes about 3-4 hours. The drive time between put in and take out is about 20 minutes. For this float you will not need a vehicle reservation ticket and you can see the route here under MAPS. If you have a truck and you need the rafts inflated, let us know 24 hours in advance.
If you want to use a guided service you can use Glacier Guides, Great Northern Resort , Glacier Raft Company or Wild River Adventures.
